Mental health professional connection

Background

The International Canadian Association for Mental Health ICAMH is a not-for-profit organization registered in Canada, established in 2020. The ICAMH seeks to create a community of mental health professionals who can share expertise and contribute to finding solutions to mental health issues around the world.

We work together to identify and tackle top mental health priorities in underserved regions through a network of partners. We also work on a systemic policy change to remove mental health service access barriers. In addition, we are aiming to contribute to the development of culturally sensitive mental health practices.

Mental Health transformation starts when professionals come together

Our Mission

ICAMHs mission is to promote equity, diversity, inclusion and to support its members in accessing resources and opportunities for professional development. Particularly for those who work in high need and limited access environments, such as refugee camps and war zones.

Through empowering mental health professionals, ICAMH inspiration will lead to new possibilities by transforming community attitudes, accessibility of services, and standard of practices. Our advocacy for mental health policies and conditions increases society’s well-being in conflict zones. We are committed to contributing to the improvement of mental health services that are accessible, affordable, culturally sensitive, evidence-based, and sustainable.
